Bimo culture of Yi nationality is a unique traditional custom passed down from generation to generation. In the Yi language, “Bi” means praise and chanting during religious activities, and “Mo” means elder or teacher. The so-called Bimo is a person who performs ritual activities in the form of chanting scriptures and can be understood as a priest.
